Forging Industry Association Elects Mike Ulven to its Board of Directors

During the 2012 Annual Meeting for The Forging Industry Association, Mike Ulven of the Ulven Companies was elected as the newest member of the FIA Board of Directors. Located in Cleveland, Ohio, The Forging Industry Association is comprised of 116 North American producers of forged metal components. There are also roughly 86 additional members that supply equipment, materials, services or supplies to the industry. Southern Wire, a division of Houston Wire and Cable Co, is proud to announce the recent reengineering of their Olive Branch warehouse facility has been completed.  The goal was to create a well-lit, safe, high efficiency space while maintaining excellent flow of shipping and receiving processes.  Re-racking, high efficiency lighting, bar coding improvements, space utilization improvements, and additional reeling capacity are all now on line.  Each of these projects was completed with zero service interruptions to Southern Wire’s customers. Parnell to Speak at Crane & Rigging Conference Canada

Mike Parnell, president and CEO of Industrial Training International, Woodland, Wash., is the latest in a series of high-profile speakers to confirm their services to MCM Events’ second Crane & Rigging Conference (CRC) Canada, which will return to Edmonton, Alberta, and it will be held at the Sutton Place Hotel on Sept. 13-14, 2012. IADC Names Colville as New President, Succeeding 28 Year Vet Dr. Lee Hunt

The International Association of Drilling Contractors announces the appointment of Stephen A. Colville to the position of President. This follows the retirement of Dr. Lee Hunt, who has held that office for the past 22 years. Mr Colville assumes his new position on 1 March.

Phil White, joint managing director of Servtech, has been elected chair of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA). He replaces Chris Towne, who has completed his two year tenure in the post.
