David Johnston of Ulven Companies Promoted to VP of Sales and Business Development

The Ulven Companies (TUC) are pleased to announce the appointment of David Johnston to the position of  Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Johnston spent the past 30 years in leadership positions in Sales, Marketing, and New Product Development in the Rigging, Lifting and Forging industries.

In his new role, Johnston will be leading worldwide sales of all TUC products and services while continuing to build both an internal and external sales team to serve the wide variety of customers and applications of TUC.  In addition, Johnston will bring his management experience together with the TUC Executive team in developing business strategies for new markets, channels and product lines.

Company President, Dan Ulven noted, “We were drawn by his straightforward personality and candid approach. He has significant experience in the forging and casting industries and is very results-driven.  He is an excellent addition to our growing company.”

His experience in the industry includes former positions as Director of New Business Development for Columbus McKinnon Corp and Director of Business Development for Kulkoni, Inc.  In these roles, Johnston has built a reputation for integrity and reliability in the industry and is known as a business partner that can be trusted.

The Ulven Companies have been in the forging industry for over 40 years – starting with the creation of Ulven Forging, Inc. in 1971.
