WSTDA Now Offering Free Standards Downloads

The Board of Directors the Web Sling & Tie Down Association (WSTDA) recently approved a measure to offer its electronic-format Recommended Standards and Test Methods on a complimentary basis to all interested users.

Prior to the recent Board action, the publications were offered for sale in print or electronic format; now, users may visit http://www.wstda.com/products/standards.cfm to download the publications in Adobe� Portable Document Format (PDF) on a complimentary basis.

The following WSTDA-developed publications are now available on a complimentary basis via download:

  • Recommended Standard Specification for Synthetic Web Slings (WS-1)
  • Recommended Standard Specification for Synthetic Webbing for Slings (WB-1)
  • Recommended Standard Specification for Synthetic Web Tie Downs (T-1)
  • Recommended Standard Specification for Synthetic Webbing Used For Tie Downs (T-4)
  • Recommended Standard Specification for Winches Used With Synthetic Web Tie Downs (T-3)
  • Recommended Standard Specification for Load Binders Used with Chain Tie Downs (T-6)
  • Recommended Standard Specification for Synthetic Polyester Roundslings (RS-1)
  • Recommended Standard Specification for Synthetic Sewing Threads for Slings and Tie Downs (TH-1)
  • Strength & Elongation Recommended Test Method for Sling & Tie Down Webbing (TM-1)

WSTDA is recognized as a standards-writing organization by the U.S. Department of Justice, and develops and publishes voluntary Recommended Standards and Recommended Test Methods for the web sling and tie down industry. WSTDA members include manufacturers and suppliers of synthetic web slings and tie downs, polyester round slings, synthetic webbing, fibers, thread and related companies.
