In this role, George is responsible for solving the suspended scaffolding and fall protection challenges of contractors and facility owners throughout Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and southwestern Washington.
George brings over fifteen years of experience in Portland’s construction and scaffold industries, holding various sales and project management positions with companies including Brand Construction, Waco Scaffold, and Sunbelt Rentals. Spider, a division of SafeWorks, LLC, provided powered access throughout the eight year construction of the new self-anchor suspension span of the San Francisco – Oakland Bay Bridge in California.
American Bridge/Fluor Joint Venture, the general contractor for this massive bridge project, turned to Spider in 2008 for a variety of swing stages, work baskets and hoists. Over the past six years, they purchased and rented standard Spider equipment to enable their workers to access the bridge’s cables, underside of its roadway deck, and its 525 ft tall tower.
Spider’s experienced engineers also designed a custom platform to reach around the exterior of the tower shaft. Continue reading

In preparation for a new ventilation system, the customer, Shawmut Design and Construction, planned on removing old masonry air shafts throughout the building. This process would leave gaping 8-square-foot holes in the floors. In order to protect their workers from potential falls, Shawmut turned to Spider. Continue reading

Bilodeau boasts forty years of experience in the scaffolding industry, holding various sales and management positions with companies like Sky-Hi Scaffolding Ltd and Swing Stage Ltd. Most recently he served as Safety Manager for Suspended Stages Inc, where his responsibilities included swing stage and fall protection instructing, fabrication estimating, and sales and rentals. He has been actively involved in the Scaffold Industry Association of Canada for the past twenty-six years, serving on various committees and holding numerous roles including Western Canada National Director, BC Chapter President, and Safety Instructor.
